Auto-post your new music drops to your link in bio
You can automatically update your link in bio when a new release goes live by pointing a scheduled script or an AI agent at the isall.me CLI or API. On release day, the new single lands at the top of your page on its own, while you are busy doing everything else a release day demands.
If you have ever forgotten to update your page the morning a song dropped, this one is for you. Let the machine remember instead.
The honest version first
Let me be straight before you get excited. isall.me does not have a magic button that watches your distributor and auto-posts for you. There is no built-in one-click auto-poster.
What we do have is a real developer setup: a public API, a command-line tool, and an MCP server. You wire one of those to a schedule or an agent, and that setup does the posting. It is your automation, running on our tools. Once it is built, it runs itself.
The good news: it is not hard, and you only build it once.
What you are actually building
The idea is simple. Something triggers on release day, and that something tells your isall.me page to put the new single up top.
The trigger can be:
- A scheduled job (cron on a server, or a GitHub Action on a timer) that runs at a set time.
- An AI agent you ask to do it, in plain language, using the MCP server.
The action is the same either way: add the new release link and move it to the top of your page. Maybe swap the featured video too.
You need three things to make it go:
- An isall.me account with a token (Pro feature).
- The CLI or API, or the MCP server.
- A place to run your trigger.
Docs for all of it live at the developer hub: https://isall.me/developers.
Step by step: the scheduled-script way
Here is the version most musicians will want. A small script that runs on release day and updates the page. No AI needed.
- Get your token. In the isall.me dashboard, open the Developer tab and mint a token. It starts with isam_. Give this one full access, since it needs to make changes. Developer access comes with Pro.
- Pick your tool. The CLI is the friendliest. It is on npm as isallme and you run it with npx isallme, so there is nothing to install first. If you would rather write code, the REST API at https://isall.me/api/v1 does the same things.
- Write the update command. Point the CLI at your page with your token and tell it to add the new release link and move it to the top. Our sibling guide on the link in bio CLI shows the exact commands and flags.
- Schedule it. Put that command in a cron job or a GitHub Action set to run at your release time. A GitHub Action is free and lives in a repo, which is handy if you are not running your own server.
- Test it early. Run it once by hand a day before, on a hidden or test link, so you know it works before the real drop. Then let the schedule take it live.
That is the whole thing. On release morning, the job fires, your single goes to the top, and you never touch the dashboard.
The AI-agent way
If writing a cron job sounds like a chore, you can hand the whole thing to an AI assistant instead.
With the isall.me MCP server connected, you can say something like: "When my new single Ghost Light goes live at 9am Friday, add the Spotify link and put it at the top of my page." An MCP-aware assistant like Claude can handle that using the same tools underneath.
The setup is short: add the MCP server (it runs with npx -y isallme-mcp), give it your token, and talk to it. Our post on automating your link in bio covers both the agent and the scheduled-script patterns in more depth.
Either road gets you to the same place. Pick the one that fits how you already work.
What to automate beyond the single
Once you have the wiring in place, release day is not the only thing you can hand off.
- Featured video. Have the script swap in your new music video or visualizer at the top of the page the moment it is public.
- Pre-save to live. Flip a "pre-save" link over to the real streaming link at release time, so early fans and release-day fans both land in the right spot.
- Tour announcements. When a show goes on sale, add the ticket link and pin it.
- Cleanup after the push. A week later, move the single down and put your evergreen links back up top.
None of this needs you awake at midnight. The schedule does it.
A note on keeping your money
While you are setting this up, a quick reminder of why the page matters. Your link in bio is where fans tip you and buy your stuff, and fees on that add up.
On the isall.me free plan you get unlimited links, native video, customization, basic analytics, and a QR code, with a 9% platform fee on tips and sales. On Pro that platform fee drops to 0%, and Pro is also where developer access lives. Pro is 24 dollars per year, which is roughly two dollars a month. For a working musician, the fees you stop paying on tips and merch usually cover that many times over. If you want the fuller argument, see our guide on the best link in bio for musicians.
So the automation and the 0% fee come in the same plan. You wire up release-day posting and keep all your tips at the same time.
FAQ
Does isall.me auto-post my new releases by itself?
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. There is no built-in auto-poster that watches your distributor. What you get is the API, CLI, and MCP server, plus a token. You point a scheduled script or an AI agent at those, and that setup does the posting. You build it once, then it runs on its own.
Do I need to know how to code?
For the scheduled-script way, a little helps, but the CLI is beginner-friendly and a GitHub Action is copy-paste-able. For the AI-agent way, you barely need any code. You connect the MCP server and ask in plain language. Start with whichever feels less scary.
Is this a Pro feature?
Developer access, which includes minting tokens, is part of isall.me Pro. Pro is 24 dollars per year and also gives you 0% platform fee on tips and sales, a custom domain, advanced analytics, and no badge. The free plan still gives unlimited links, native video, and a QR code.
What happens if my script or agent messes up my page?
Nothing you cannot undo. You can edit the page by hand any time, and you can revoke a token from the Developer tab if something goes wrong. Test your setup on a hidden link before release day and you will catch problems early.
